July is here, and I’m welcoming this new month with a deep breath, a grateful heart, and a whole lot of honesty about what’s been happening behind the scenes at Kanka Creative.First of all — thank you.
Thank you so much for the enthusiasm, excitement, and love you’ve shown for the subscription box. Seeing your reactions, your messages, your support… it meant the world. Truly.
But after a dramatic few months (and I mean dramatic), we’ve decided to pause the subscription box model and shift into something that works better for a solo maker like me.
❄️ The Reversed Winter Fabric Saga
Let me give you the real tea.For weeks, I was wrestling with fabric suppliers.
First the fabrics were available… then suddenly gone.
I placed orders… they got cancelled.
I reordered… cancelled again.
I tried different suppliers… same story.Then magically — they did have it.
And finally, after all the chaos, the fabrics arrived.But the delays were so long that I had to replan the entire box, redesign timelines, and juggle everything around. And this wasn’t a one‑time issue — this is the reality of sourcing materials as a small business. It keeps happening, and it keeps pushing production and promotion time into a messy, stressful zone.For a one‑woman team, this system just isn’t sustainable.
🎁 Introducing… The Kanka Box
So, we’re evolving.The subscription box is now becoming the Kanka Box — a special pre‑order system where:Supplies and fabrics are secured firstDesigns are finalisedAll I need to do is receive orders and make the itemsNo more fabric drama.
No more last‑minute supplier chaos.
Just pure creativity, quality, and joy — the way Kanka Creative is meant to be.
